On 10.09.2009г. a contracts was signed between Hristo Botev Secondary school and Human Resource Development Centre. The project for interschool partnerships entitled Let us share the beauties of our regions, part of the Lifelong learning sector program on Komenius program will be accomplished in the period between 01.08.09-31.07.2011.
The participants in the program are young people from Poland (co-ordinator of the project), The Czech Republic, Slovenia, Italy, Greece, Romania and Bulgaria.
The students from the classes profiled for studying tourism ( 9v and 10g) and foreign languages (10b and 11a) are prioritized for participating in the mobility.
The team of teachers, assisting the activities on the project are Ivilina Ilieva, Petranka Dimitrova, Galya Dohcheva, Staniela Stoyanova.

Project results:
1.1. Getting to know the basics of the ethnic and cultural peculiarities and system of values characteristic of the majority of the minority population.
1.2. Difficulties in communication with children of the minorities, due to poor fluency of the Bulgarian language.
1.3. Peculiarities in the mental and psychological development of minority children as a result of ethnic and cultural differences and their subsequent enrolment in educational institutions (nursery groups, kindergartens, etc.)
1.4. Ways of overcoming the skepticism of minority parents about the benefits of education
1.5. Strategies of overcoming discrimination models among children of non-minority origin.

The project „Thirst for culture e-ABC: Alphabetical electronic reference for the Bulgarian, Polish, Italian and Portuguese culture” on the program Lifelong learning, part of the Komenius international partnerships at the Human Resource Development Centre.
The activities on the project started with the creation of an Internet website and blog, where the students publish the materials, necessary for the implementation of the program.
Results:
1. Formation of working teams and acquiring skills for team work;
2. Starting an adequate intercultural dialogue;
3. Practical application of the knowledge of the English language, preparation of presentations, using the Internet;
4. Getting a better knowledge of national customs and traditions and presenting them to the European partners;
5. Drawing comics based on Bulgarian legends, which will be displayed at an exhibition in the school of our partners from Poland.
The first mobility is from 28.02. tо 09.03.2009 in Ribnik, Poland
The youth exchange, funded by ДАМС on the „Младежта в действие” program, activity 1.1, took place from 22.09 to 01.10.2008 in the small town of Kroshnitse, Poland. Four European countries took p[art in the project_ Bulgaria, Poland, Romania and Austria. The Polish partner was co-ordinator of the project. Students from 11th grade took part in the project, under the guidance of Milena Milkova.
The activities on the project included: discussion about the aggressive behavior on part of the young people, a host of sports competitions- basketball and volleyball games, biking, tennis tournaments. The students had the opportunity to take part in a sort of mini- Olympic games. They demonstrated their creative abilities by taking part in The theatre day. The main topics of the scenes they acted in were again connected to stress, aggression and the lifestyle of the young people. The warm-up games, team-buildings, the nations’ night and the acquaintance with foreign traditions and cultures helped the participants to live and work together in a united team.

Results from the project:
-The youth groups from Austria, Italy, Poland and Bulgaria established contacts, made new friends;
- all participants broadened their knowledge on the traditions and customs of the countries participating in the project and got to know part of the nations’ mentality;
- The young people improved their ability to work in a team- all activities followed this principle (reflection groups- with 1 or two participants from each member country);
- They got to know the beauty of the Bulgarian countryside, visited famous historic cultural monuments- Shipka, Etara ethnographic complex, Veliko Tarnovo, Nesebar;
- The collective activities of the young people helped them develop tolerance, overcome prejudices based on ethnicity and religion and abilities for establishing simple human contacts;
- the activities which were carried out provoked and developed the creative abilities and skills of the participants, new ideas, decisions and ways of performance were born and brought into practice;
-the project suggested new and amusing ways of spending leisure time, ways of diverting the young people from the vices and dangers of the modern world;
-the project responded to the needs of the students- to discover themselves, to get to know and re-discover their native customs and traditions and understand and accept the ones of the foreign countries. The motto of the project was “Let us live together! Let us celebrate the diversities between us!” and it was not chosen perchance.
